I built a custom 3D printer from the ground up, designed for stability and precision.

Frame: constructed from 30×30 aluminum extrusion profiles for rigidity.

Motion system: X and Y axes run on MGN12 linear rails, while the Z axis is supported by an MGN15 rail/linear unit.

Controller: Duet2 WiFi board with advanced motion control.

Homing: sensorless homing on X and Y axes, with an inductive sensor on the Z axis that also functions as a probe.

Build volume: effective print area of 300 × 300 × 375 mm.
This project allowed me to gain in-depth knowledge of mechanical design, firmware configuration, and precision calibration, resulting in a reliable large-format printer tailored to my needs.
